About the Class

Join us for a series of engaging classes for kids 6-11 years old, designed for beginners (those with less than 3 years of Cantonese study) to practice in a supportive and interactive environment. The 13 classes run for 90 minutes each with a break and are held weekly, providing ample time for focused learning and practice. We are building on the previous course, with a theme of "Advancing Everyday Communication/" At the heart of our class is the objective to help Cantonese students progress and gain confidence in their communication skills. We prioritize speaking practice and emphasize the correct pronunciation and tone, essential elements for effective communication. This course is focused on speaking, pronunciation and human communication - we will introduces Traditional Chinese reading/writing when appropriate. Our curriculum is crafted by Ms. Jiamin Sun, who tailors our lessons to the needs of our students. Ms. Sun was our most popular teacher in our Chinese afterschool program - and the students made significant progress. She creates an interactive textbook that parents will be able to access to reinforce lessons at home. Class Dates: April 6, 13, 20, 27 May 4, 11, 18, 25 June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 To ensure personalized attention and effective learning, we limit our class size to 10 students.

Cancellation Policy

When you enroll in our multi-class course, you're securing a dedicated spot for your child in a small group learning experience. Our course fee is set with the understanding that students may occasionally miss a class due to illness or other commitments. This allows us to maintain consistent small group sizes that enhance learning and ensure teacher availability for every session. While we cannot offer credits or makeups for classes your child is unable to attend, we are committed to delivering all six classes in each course. If we need to cancel a class due to teacher illness or emergency, we will automatically schedule a makeup class by extending the course schedule. This ensures every student receives the full class experience they enrolled for. For new students joining mid-course, we happily pro-rate the course fee based on the remaining classes. However, this adjustment must be arranged at the time of enrollment. Think of our courses like a semester at school or a sports team season - your enrollment reserves your child's spot in the group, ensuring they can build skills alongside their peers in a consistent, supportive environment. This structure helps us create the best possible learning experience for all our students. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to making our small group classes a success.
