About the Class
Prepare for an extraordinarily squishy adventure at our legendary "Squishy Making Slime Festival" where science and sensory play combine for three days of captivating exploration! 2 day (Dec 29-30) and 3 day options are available for this camp. This progressive workshop builds children's understanding of polymer science while creating increasingly sophisticated slime variations each day. Starting with foundational recipes and basic chemistry, campers advance to magnetic, cloud, and color-changing formulations as their skills develop. The grand finale celebrates the approaching New Year with spectacular glitter and confetti celebration slimes! Under expert guidance, young scientists will experiment with different ingredients and techniques, discovering how small adjustments create dramatically different results. This camp offers a balance of scientific learning and tactile satisfaction, providing children with both intellectual understanding and the simple joy of squishing, stretching, and playing with their extraordinary creations! Daily Structure: • Morning: Welcome circle and slime science introduction followed by primary slime laboratory session • Mid-day: Lunch and stretchy games at Littlejohn Park • Afternoon: Advanced slime creation workshops with specialized techniques followed by daily showcase and scientific reflection Daily Highlights: • Day 1: Slime Foundations - Basic slime chemistry and texture exploration in the morning, butter slime, galaxy slime, and crunchy slime creation in the afternoon • Day 2: Advanced Techniques - Magnetic slime laboratory in the morning, cloud slime and color-changing slime in the afternoon • Day 3: New Year Celebration Slimes - Glitter and metallic slime creation in the morning, confetti celebration slimes and New Year preparations in the afternoon CAMP DETAILS & LOGISTICS • Ages: TK-5th grade (most campers are K-3rd grade) • Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Extended care available 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM) • What to Bring: Labeled water bottle, one hearty snack, and a nut-free lunch • Attire: Comfortable clothing, trampoline socks recommended (no-shoes facility) • Note: Please leave toys and personal items at home or in lobby cubbies • Sibling Discount: 10% off for second child with code "Siblings10" Cancellation Policy: • Transfer Option: Transfer to another student for $25 fee • 45+ Days Before Camp: Refund minus $50 cancellation fee and 3% processing fee • Less Than 45 Days Before Camp: No refunds issued

VKC Fair + Flexible Cancellation Policy We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our campers and our organization. Winter & Spring 2025–2026 Policy Transfer Option: You may transfer your camp spot to another student at any time for a $25 transfer fee. 45 Days or More Before Camp Start Date: Refunds are available, less a $50 cancellation fee and a 3% payment-processing fee. Less Than 45 Days Before Camp Start Date: No refunds will be issued. You may still transfer your camp spot to another student. Summer 2026 Policy Before February 1, 2026 100% refundable, minus a 3% payment-processing fee. No cancellation fee — book early, risk-free! February 1 – April 30, 2026 Refunds are available, less a $50 cancellation fee and 3% processing. Transfers to another week or camper are allowed at no charge, if space permits. After May 1, 2026 No refunds will be issued. You may transfer your registration to another student or camp week for a $25 transfer fee, space permitting. Differences in Tuition If you transfer into a higher-priced camp, the tuition difference will be charged at the time of transfer. If you move into a lower-priced camp, the difference will be refunded (less applicable processing fees) or credited toward a future VKC program. Member Benefit Members may transfer or switch camps free of charge up to 10 days before the camp start date.
