Jan 19: MLK Day Dream Makers Workshop
Celebrate Dr. King's legacy through dream-inspired art, storytelling, and community service.
About the Class
"Dream makers Workshop" offers a meaningful way to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy through creative expression and community engagement. This thoughtfully designed camp invites children to explore the power of dreams—both during sleep and as aspirations for a better world. The morning features dream-themed art projects where young creators express their visions through various artistic mediums, followed by an engaging storytelling workshop that develops narrative skills while exploring themes of equality and hope. In the afternoon, participants channel Dr. King's commitment to service through an age-appropriate community project that makes a real difference. Throughout the day, children develop deeper understanding of Dr. King's impact while creating their own dream journals to capture their personal hopes for the future. This camp balances celebration of a historical figure with personal expression and action.
