About the Class

Session 1: 16-20 June Create exploding sandwich experiments, make color-changing drinks, and learn ninja knife skills (safely, of course!). On Friday, transform into a master chef and wow your family with your culinary powers! This unique program blends culinary skills with fascinating food science. Young chefs learn kitchen safety, basic knife skills, and cooking techniques while exploring the chemistry behind their creations. From crystal candy growing to chocolate tempering, kids discover how science makes cooking magical. Daily Highlights: Monday: Kitchen safety and basic knife skills with fruit preparation Tuesday: Bread science and pizza making Wednesday: Crystal candy growing and chocolate experiments Thursday: Global foods and kitchen chemistry Friday: Recipe creation and food presentation Learning: Students develop kitchen safety skills and basic cooking techniques while exploring food science. Emphasis on measurement, following instructions, and understanding chemical reactions in cooking. Ideal for budding chefs and curious food scientists who love to create in the kitchen! _______________________ Details & Logistics: • Ages: 4 (entering K) to 11 • Drop Off: 8:45–9:00am | Pick Up: 4:00pm | Extended Hours: 8:30am–5:30pm. • Food: Bring a labeled water bottle, two hearty snacks, and a nut-free lunch. • Attire: Comfortable, movement-friendly clothing. Note: We’re a "no-shoes" facility, we recommend trampoline socks. Contact us for a discount code. Camp Cancellation Policy: We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our campers and our organization. Transfer Option: Contact us to transfer your camp spot to another student at any time for a $25 transfer fee. 45 Days or More Before Camp Start Date: We provide a refund, less a $50 cancellation fee and a 3% payment processing fee.
