Owned and operated by Sogolon Best, an Alameda resident and veteran teacher, assisted by his daughter Azana Best - a recent pre-med/biology graduate, the Village Kids' Club addresses a need that we observed in our community, and that we share. Namely, a comfortable, nice, clean and secure place for children K-5 to socialize, learn, and play - while giving parents flexibility to run an errand, have a workout, or take care of themselves. This has evolved over time to include after-school programs, school-break camps, enrichment classes and more.

Azana Best, a Baylor University graduate with a background in Cell and Molecular Biology, brings her extensive research experience and passion for education to enhance The Village Kids' Club's science and art programs.

Zenze is one of our key advisors. She has first hand experience being a second grader at Maya Lin Elementary.
