Beyond Traditional Math Education

Our 1st-3rd graders are already exploring concepts like the Pythagorean Theorem Tree, building early familiarity with advanced mathematical ideas.

We make mathematics come alive through:

  • Hands-on learning with manipulatives

  • Project-based exploration

  • Above-grade-level concept introduction

  • Building confidence through understanding

  • Real-world applications

Where Art Meets Learning

Art at VKC is:

  • Connected with field trips for deeper learning

  • Integrated with STEM concepts

  • A tool for creative problem-solving

  • An avenue for emotional expression

  • A way to build confidence

Kids cleaning and taking responsibility

Community Responsibilities

Each student is assigned daily tasks such as stacking chairs, wiping up, helping with snacks, etc.

What starts as simple cleanup evolves into students:

  • Taking pride in their space & job

  • Becoming more conscious of how their actions affect others' work areas

  • Spontaneously help peers with their duties

  • Have conversations about teamwork and respect

Sports & Recreation

Physical activity builds confidence, resilience, and team spirit. Our students develop physical skills while learning valuable life lessons.

In our LaCrosse program, when students first encounter this challenging sport, many struggle with the new skills required.

Initial frustration – and sometimes tears – gradually transforms into physical skills and emotional resilience.

Students who once gave up at the first sign of difficulty now encourage their teammates and celebrate collective achievements.
