6/15-19 Alameda Secrets Field Trip Camp
Discover the Hidden Stories of Our Island City in this Field Trip Camp!
About the Class
Session 1: June 15-19 Step into a week of discovery as we uncover the Secrets of Alameda! In this locally focused field trip camp, kids become community explorers, learning how our island city works — from its civic heroes and hidden natural wonders to the people and places that keep everyday life running. Each day, campers travel by foot and public transit to new destinations — visiting City Hall, the police and fire departments, local markets and bakeries, and Crab Cove — meeting the people who make Alameda extraordinary. Through guided tours, behind-the-scenes experiences, and creative activities, kids build a deeper love of their hometown while gaining a real-world understanding of community, teamwork, and stewardship. By the end of the week, every camper earns their title as a Junior Alameda Ambassador, proudly sharing their discoveries in our Secrets of Alameda Expo! It’s a hometown adventure full of curiosity, kindness, and connection. Details & Logistics: We have a very low camper to staff ratio.
