About the Class

July 6-10, 2026 What if your child could become a published author this summer? In StoryMakers, creativity takes center stage as young writers dream up original stories, bring them to life with colorful illustrations, and see their words printed in a real book — Stories from the Village, our annual VKC anthology of camper-created tales. Throughout the week, campers learn the art of storytelling: crafting characters, shaping plots, and painting imaginative worlds with words and pictures. They share ideas, collaborate with friends, and discover the confidence that comes from seeing their imagination in print.
