About the Class
THE LIBRARY (2062 Lincoln) | Thursday, December 24, 2026 Christmas Eve at The Library is a lantern day. Older Makers build full-size paper lanterns from scratch: bamboo skewer frame, translucent paper panels, decorations of their own design — paint, paper cutouts, glow-in-the-dark stickers, ribbon details. Each lantern gets a battery tea-light and a real handle. After park lunch, the afternoon is decorating finale. Then the lights go off in the room and the lanterns come on, glowing through painted panels. The day ends with the Sunset Lantern Walk: families join the cohort outside as the sun sets early on Christmas Eve, and Makers carry their lit lanterns home down the sidewalk in twilight. Every camper takes home their full-size lantern, lit and ready to bring inside on Christmas Eve, plus a hand-decorated tag with their name. Cancellation Policy
VKC Fair + Flexible Cancellation Policy We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our campers and our organization. Winter & Spring 2025–2026 Policy Transfer Option: You may transfer your camp spot to another student at any time for a $25 transfer fee. 45 Days or More Before Camp Start Date: Refunds are available, less a $50 cancellation fee and a 3% payment-processing fee. Less Than 45 Days Before Camp Start Date: No refunds will be issued. You may still transfer your camp spot to another student. Summer 2026 Policy Before February 1, 2026 100% refundable, minus a 3% payment-processing fee. No cancellation fee — book early, risk-free! February 1 – April 30, 2026 Refunds are available, less a $50 cancellation fee and 3% processing. Transfers to another week or camper are allowed at no charge, if space permits. After May 1, 2026 No refunds will be issued. You may transfer your registration to another student or camp week for a $25 transfer fee, space permitting. Differences in Tuition If you transfer into a higher-priced camp, the tuition difference will be charged at the time of transfer. If you move into a lower-priced camp, the difference will be refunded (less applicable processing fees) or credited toward a future VKC program. Member Benefit Members may transfer or switch camps free of charge up to 10 days before the camp start date.
