About the Class
THE LIBRARY (2062 Lincoln) | Monday, December 28 – Thursday, December 31, 2026 Four days to design, name, build, and actually run a one-day pop-up restaurant. Older campers become the Cafe Quantum crew: Chefs, Servers, Designers, Cashiers, Managers. The Big Build is a giant painted marquee menu spanning the wall. Day 1: menu planning and ingredient-costing math. Day 2: recipe testing, decor, table settings, and printed menus. Day 3 is GRAND OPENING: families arrive, get seated, order from hand-printed menus, and are served real food made by 3rd-5th graders. Day 4 is NYE Engineering with ball-drop builds and a camp countdown finale. Every cafe crew member takes home a Restaurant Project portfolio with menu design, costing sheets, signed menu from Grand Opening, role badge, and an NYE engineering keepsake. Cancellation Policy
VKC Fair + Flexible Cancellation Policy We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our campers and our organization. Winter & Spring 2025–2026 Policy Transfer Option: You may transfer your camp spot to another student at any time for a $25 transfer fee. 45 Days or More Before Camp Start Date: Refunds are available, less a $50 cancellation fee and a 3% payment-processing fee. Less Than 45 Days Before Camp Start Date: No refunds will be issued. You may still transfer your camp spot to another student. Summer 2026 Policy Before February 1, 2026 100% refundable, minus a 3% payment-processing fee. No cancellation fee — book early, risk-free! February 1 – April 30, 2026 Refunds are available, less a $50 cancellation fee and 3% processing. Transfers to another week or camper are allowed at no charge, if space permits. After May 1, 2026 No refunds will be issued. You may transfer your registration to another student or camp week for a $25 transfer fee, space permitting. Differences in Tuition If you transfer into a higher-priced camp, the tuition difference will be charged at the time of transfer. If you move into a lower-priced camp, the difference will be refunded (less applicable processing fees) or credited toward a future VKC program. Member Benefit Members may transfer or switch camps free of charge up to 10 days before the camp start date.
