About the Class
THE VILLAGE (1102 Lincoln) | Monday, December 28 – Thursday, December 31, 2026 Four days of science you can actually taste. The Big Build is The Candy Tree: a 6-foot PVC sculpture hung with edible decorations the cohort makes across the week, then harvested at the NYE Camp Countdown. Day 1 is Ice Cream Day. Day 2 is Candy Chemistry: rock candy crystals, gummy bear experiments, real chocolate tempering, handmade lollipops. Day 3 is Sweet Showcase with a tasting menu for families. Day 4 is Confetti Lab with a hand-built ball drop and 3 PM Camp Countdown. Every camper takes home a Sugar Lab recipe book, a labeled New Year's slime jar, an NYE goody bag of candies harvested from the Tree, and a confetti-photo memento. Cancellation Policy
VKC Fair + Flexible Cancellation Policy We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our campers and our organization. Winter & Spring 2025–2026 Policy Transfer Option: You may transfer your camp spot to another student at any time for a $25 transfer fee. 45 Days or More Before Camp Start Date: Refunds are available, less a $50 cancellation fee and a 3% payment-processing fee. Less Than 45 Days Before Camp Start Date: No refunds will be issued. You may still transfer your camp spot to another student. Summer 2026 Policy Before February 1, 2026 100% refundable, minus a 3% payment-processing fee. No cancellation fee — book early, risk-free! February 1 – April 30, 2026 Refunds are available, less a $50 cancellation fee and 3% processing. Transfers to another week or camper are allowed at no charge, if space permits. After May 1, 2026 No refunds will be issued. You may transfer your registration to another student or camp week for a $25 transfer fee, space permitting. Differences in Tuition If you transfer into a higher-priced camp, the tuition difference will be charged at the time of transfer. If you move into a lower-priced camp, the difference will be refunded (less applicable processing fees) or credited toward a future VKC program. Member Benefit Members may transfer or switch camps free of charge up to 10 days before the camp start date.
