Jan 18: Operation Make Some Noise Camp
Pick a cause, paint the poster, write the letter, speak through the megaphone. | 1 Day Camp
About the Class
THE LIBRARY (2062 Lincoln) | Monday, January 18, 2027 A day to do something about what actually matters. Morning is the What Matters Workshop, where older operatives choose a cause they REALLY care about. Then they build protest posters with paint, fabric, and paper. Letter Writing Hour follows: one focused hour writing a real letter to a real Alameda or Oakland leader. Afternoon brings tie-dye Cause Shirts with our art teacher. The finale is Megaphone Hour: every operative reads their letter aloud to the cohort through a real megaphone. We mail the letters the next morning. Every operative takes home their Cause Shirt, protest poster, copy of the letter, and the address of the leader they wrote to.
