About the Class
THE VILLAGE (1102 Lincoln) | Friday, January 22, 2027 Today our youngest are the shopkeepers. Morning begins in the Village Play-Store, where every Junior Shopkeeper rotates through cashier, customer, and inventory manager with real coins and real change-making. Mid-morning, campers build and name their own coin-bank craft. After lunch, the cohort takes a guided walk to a local Park Street store with budget envelopes. Every camper gets a small budget and buys ONE thing of their own choosing. The finale is the Real Purchase: each camper walks to the cashier, pays, counts the change, and brings it back. Every Junior Shopkeeper takes home a decorated coin bank, shopkeeper pin, and the item they bought. Beneath the grown-up thrill: counting, comparing, budgeting, patience, and making a real-world choice. Cancellation Policy
VKC Fair + Flexible Cancellation Policy We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our campers and our organization. Winter & Spring 2025–2026 Policy Transfer Option: You may transfer your camp spot to another student at any time for a $25 transfer fee. 45 Days or More Before Camp Start Date: Refunds are available, less a $50 cancellation fee and a 3% payment-processing fee. Less Than 45 Days Before Camp Start Date: No refunds will be issued. You may still transfer your camp spot to another student. Summer 2026 Policy Before February 1, 2026 100% refundable, minus a 3% payment-processing fee. No cancellation fee — book early, risk-free! February 1 – April 30, 2026 Refunds are available, less a $50 cancellation fee and 3% processing. Transfers to another week or camper are allowed at no charge, if space permits. After May 1, 2026 No refunds will be issued. You may transfer your registration to another student or camp week for a $25 transfer fee, space permitting. Differences in Tuition If you transfer into a higher-priced camp, the tuition difference will be charged at the time of transfer. If you move into a lower-priced camp, the difference will be refunded (less applicable processing fees) or credited toward a future VKC program. Member Benefit Members may transfer or switch camps free of charge up to 10 days before the camp start date.
