THE LIBRARY (2062 Lincoln) | Monday, December 21, 2026 Today your Maker builds a circuit that works. The Circuit Studio is a one-day pass into Day 1 of The Gift Forge, our four-day gift-making week at The Library — same cohort, same room, same staff. Each Maker ties on a canvas Maker's Apron, invents a personal Maker Mark, and walks into the LED Lab to build a working light-up greeting card: copper tape, a coin-cell battery, a real LED with real polarity, and real diagnose-and-fix when a circuit won't close. Then, on the count of three, every Maker closes their circuit at once and the room fills with glowing cards — First Light. After park lunch and capture-the-(gift-wrapped)-flag at Littlejohn, the afternoon is the Lantern Frame Build: each Maker constructs the bones of a paper lantern — base, translucent panels, vented top — the first stage of the Lantern Avenue installation that will light the Library hallway on Christmas Eve. Every Maker heads home with a glowing card ready to give and the Circuit Spark badge pinned to their apron. Underneath the glow: series circuits, polarity, and the patience to debug something until it lights. DETAILS & LOGISTICS • Your camp day runs 8:30am–5:30pm — included. Camp programming: 9:00am–4:00pm. Arrive early, stay late — pick up anytime before 5:30pm. Cancellation Policy
VKC Fair + Flexible Camp Cancellation Policy Plans change — kids get sick, schedules shift. Here is how it works. This covers every VKC camp — summer, school-year and holiday — and bookings already made. There is no separate older policy. Cancelling before camp starts 21 days or more before camp starts: your choice of 100% VKC credit, or a refund less the 3% card-processing fee. Fewer than 21 days before camp starts: 100% VKC credit. Cancellations need to reach us in writing — reply to your confirmation email — so we both have a record. There is no late-cancellation fee. How VKC credit works *It is a balance, good for 90 days from the day we issue it, on any VKC camp, class or program at either location. Book within the 90 days; the program itself can fall later. *It's a balance, not a coupon. Spend it across as many bookings as you like. If something costs more than your balance, you pay the difference at checkout. If it costs less, the rest stays on your VKC credit balance. *Transferable. If you can't use it, give it to another family. They book with it directly; you don't need us to arrange anything. *Issued once. If you book a camp with your credit and then cancel that booking, we don't issue a new credit or start a new 90 days. *Credit can't be converted back to a cash refund. Want a different week instead? Just ask. Cancel in writing and rebook a different camp with your credit. A week at the same price costs nothing extra; a dearer week means paying the difference at checkout; a cheaper one leaves the remainder on your balance. Once camp has started A camp week is delivered once it begins. Missed days — including for illness — aren't refunded, credited, or made up. Illness follows the same table as any other reason, so if you know before camp starts, tell us and your full credit is waiting. We'd much rather a sick child rest at home. Why the 21-day line Three weeks out we lock staffing and order materials for every camp. Those costs are spent whether or not a camper comes, which is why cash refunds stop at 21 days. Why refunds are less 3% Our card processor keeps its fee even when we refund you, and we don't get it back. If we cancel If we cancel a camp for any reason — staffing, weather, air quality, low enrollment or facility issues — you choose: a 100% refund, or a 110% credit toward a future program. If a camp is interrupted partway, we prorate to the missed portion.
