About the Class

Session 2: 27-31 July, 2026 Blast off into a week of interstellar discovery where science, robotics, and light combine in one epic adventure! Campers join the Galactic Engineering Corps, building their own space robots, experimenting with real lasers and optics, and exploring how light powers science — from rockets and rovers to data signals and galaxies. Using mirrors, prisms, fog machines, and colorful low-power lasers, kids learn how light moves, bends, and communicates — safely and spectacularly. Each day brings new missions in robotics, teamwork, and discovery, leading up to the Laser Galaxy Show, an unforgettable light-and-robot performance for families. Kids will take home their robot creation. It’s science, art, and adventure — all glowing together in one extraordinary week. Details & Logistics: We have a very low camper to staff ratio. Focus: Motion, safety, energy. Tuesday – Planet Mapping Use mirrors and lasers to map mysterious cratered surfaces — just like NASA’s light sensors! Focus: Reflection, measurement, and discovery. Wednesday – Rover Engineering Assemble your robot and try it through a glowing laser maze. Focus: Robotics, geometry, teamwork. Thursday – Sensors & Signals Send secret messages using laser beams! Focus: Coding, communication, and creativity. Friday – Laser Galaxy Show Join forces for our Laser Galaxy Show — a dazzling, fog-filled finale of music, movement, and glowing robots.
