About the Class
As nature awakens, our "Spring Scientists" camp invites young explorers to investigate the fascinating science behind the season's transformations! This engaging day combines botanical experiments with outdoor discovery, allowing children to develop genuine scientific understanding of springtime phenomena. Morning activities feature hands-on plant growth experiments where junior scientists explore germination, phototropism, and the variables affecting plant development. Children will plant their own seeds, creating living projects they can continue to nurture at home. The afternoon transforms into an outdoor laboratory as campers conduct field research in nearby parks, documenting seasonal changes and creating beautiful environmental art. This camp balances structured scientific learning with the wonder of outdoor exploration, fostering both knowledge and appreciation for spring's natural processes! Daily Structure: • Morning: Welcome circle with introduction to spring scientific phenomena followed by plant growth experiments and seed planting workshop • Mid-day: Lunch and springtime games at Littlejohn Park • Afternoon: Outdoor explorations with field research on seasonal changes followed by environmental art creation and science reflection Take Home: Planted seeds in personalized containers and nature-based science project CAMP DETAILS & LOGISTICS • Ages: TK-5th grade (most campers are K-3rd grade) • Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Extended care available 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM) • What to Bring: Labeled water bottle, one hearty snack, and a nut-free lunch • Attire: Comfortable clothing, trampoline socks recommended (no-shoes facility) • Note: Please leave toys and personal items at home or in lobby cubbies • Sibling Discount: 10% off for second child with code "Siblings10" Cancellation Policy: • Transfer Option: Transfer to another student for $25 fee • 45+ Days Before Camp: Refund minus $50 cancellation fee and 3% processing fee • Less Than 45 Days Before Camp: No refunds issued Why Choose The Village Kids' Club for Camp: At The Village Kids' Club, we transform ordinary days off school into extraordinary adventures with small group sizes, experienced instructors, and substantive, hands-on activities that build genuine skills while sparking joy and wonder.

Cancellation Policy
VKC Fair + Flexible Cancellation Policy We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our campers and our organization. Winter & Spring 2025–2026 Policy Transfer Option: You may transfer your camp spot to another student at any time for a $25 transfer fee. 45 Days or More Before Camp Start Date: Refunds are available, less a $50 cancellation fee and a 3% payment-processing fee. Less Than 45 Days Before Camp Start Date: No refunds will be issued. You may still transfer your camp spot to another student. Summer 2026 Policy Before February 1, 2026 100% refundable, minus a 3% payment-processing fee. No cancellation fee — book early, risk-free! February 1 – April 30, 2026 Refunds are available, less a $50 cancellation fee and 3% processing. Transfers to another week or camper are allowed at no charge, if space permits. After May 1, 2026 No refunds will be issued. You may transfer your registration to another student or camp week for a $25 transfer fee, space permitting. Differences in Tuition If you transfer into a higher-priced camp, the tuition difference will be charged at the time of transfer. If you move into a lower-priced camp, the difference will be refunded (less applicable processing fees) or credited toward a future VKC program. Member Benefit Members may transfer or switch camps free of charge up to 10 days before the camp start date.
