About the Class

Ages 5–10 • Small group At the Village Kids Art Studio, every child becomes an artist — exploring paint, color, clay, and imagination in a joyful, encouraging environment. This10-class creative journey blends fine art techniques with the playful, hands-on spirit of our camps, helping kids express themselves while developing real artistic skills. Through watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, and mixed-media projects, students learn to: • See the world like an artist — noticing light, color, shape, and texture • Build confidence through creative problem-solving and “happy mistakes” • Experiment with 2D and 3D materials, from watercolor paper to air-dry clay • Discover famous artists and art styles in kid-friendly ways • Express feelings and ideas through their own original artwork Each class stands alone as a fun creative adventure, yet together they form a rich foundation in drawing, painting, color theory, and sculpture. Younger students focus on exploration and play, while older students dive deeper into self-expression, composition, and shading techniques. Every child will create a portfolio of artwork and finish the series with a personal “My Art, My Voice” Showcase — a celebration of growth, imagination, and the joy of making art.
